You get an unbelievable adrenaline kick with
Fly by Wire. Today, there are only two places in the world
where it is possible to fly by wire: the one, Paekakariki, is near Wellington, the other in Queenstown.
Strapped on a steel rack the 7 minutes long flight goes quickly up to 170 km/hs. It is like three
dimensional motorcycle driving. The pilot should however already be free from dizziness. |

During transit with a ferry from the North Island to the
South Island the ship comes into the Marlborough Sounds. With beautiful weather, the trip through
the Queen Charlotte Snd. is like a cruise. |
|
Aim of the transit is Picton, a small place with 3.300 inhabitants.
Whoever wants to be able to travel through the sounds finds advantageous housings here. |
|
|
In New Zealand, the visitor is informed at several places how far
it is to the rest of the world. |
